Florida is one of only three states (the other two are South Carolina and Maine) which authorize their Notaries Public to “solemnize the rites of matrimony.” ... The Notary should properly identify both parties prior to the ceremony. The couple obtains the required marriage license prior to the ceremony. An additional $0.445/mil for travel outside Gainesville city limits+ $5.00 for Notary Stamp + optional ($5.00 for Notary Seal). The additional fee of $30.00 is included for travel fee.
